In the event of a loss, please call our toll-free number at 1-800-800-7071 option one to speak with one of our Claims Examiners. A representative will assist you in filing your claim. You may also report a claim online via our Claims Center!
Is software, apps, music or any other content covered by the policy?
No. The policy only covers the hardware. Make sure to regularly sync your iPhone with iTunes. In the event of a claim you will receive a payment to purchase a replacement device, and you will need to reload your content.
When do I need to provide a copy of my proof of ownership?
Proof of ownership for the covered device should be available at the time claim.
What is Accidental Damage?
Accidental Damage is defined as an unexpected and unitentional external event, resulting in physical damage to the covered property. Examples of Accidental Damage include, but are not limited to Drops, Falls, Collisions, Liquid Spills, Liquid Submersion and more.
Isn't insurance the same as a warranty or AppleCare™?
No. Insurance complements your warranty. The warranty on your device is there to service failures and mechanical breakdown and specifically excludes damage and theft.
A Safeware policy will provide coverage in the event of certain accidental damage such as cracked LCDs, liquid spills, power surges in addition to theft and some natural disasters.
