How will you settle my claim?

 

All valid claims, repair or total loss, will be settled with a claim payment equivalent to the amount of the policy less the applicable deductible.

Why is the coverage amount pre-set?

 

The coverage amount is pre-set based on AT&T's replacement policy for current customers who are not eligible for an upgrade discount.

 

Existing AT&T customers who are not currently eligible for an equipment upgrade discount can purchase the 16GB iPhone 3GS for $399 or the 32GB 3GS for $499. The 8GB iPhone 3G can be purchased for $299 or the 16GB 3G for $349 while supplies last.

Where am I covered?

 

The standard policy will cover you anywhere in the United States of America (including its territories and possessions), Puerto Rico and Canada

 

However, the policy does offer International Coverage. Simply select "Yes" in the " Do you travel internationally section" and you will be quoted for World Wide Coverage*. The International Coverage option will protect your device anywhere in the world**.

 

*Countries listed on the US Department of State Official Travel Warnings site are not eligible for Global coverage. Please click here for a current listing of non-eligible countries.

 

** Please note that a $200 deductible is applicable on claims occuring internationally.

 

How often do I pay the premium?

 

The iPhone insurance policy is a one year program that is paid in full at the time of purchase.

 

The policy is renewable on an annual basis pending underwriting review.

How do I submit a claim?

 

You can submit a claim 2 ways:

 

1. You can submit a claim online 24/7 by visiting the Claims Center and selecting "Report a New Claim"

 

2. You can contact our Claims Center at 1-800-800-7071 option 1, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.

What is a policy fee?

 

A policy fee to cover the direct costs of producing, fulfilling, mailing and maintaining your policy over the life of the policy. We have consulted with the proper authorities in your state and feel the amount is fair and reasonable for the services rendered. We further realize that this is in a addition to any commission we may generate for producing the policy, the majority of which is used to cover overhead and product marketing. The unfortunate reality is our cost of doing business continues to rise dramatically and our rates have remained unchanged for at least 12 years. This approach allows us to source an affordable plan while covering our increasing costs to do business.

  Damage Claims
 

 

  Upon receipt of your claim notification, our Claims Center will have an overnight shipping label sent to you via email.  
    Once received, simply pack up your damaged iPhone, attach the shipping label and drop the package at a UPS drop box or any UPS shipping center.  
   

Once the damaged iPhone is received, a claim payment will be issued to you, less any applicable deductible, so you can purchase a new iPhone!

 
         
         

  Theft Claims
 

 

  Report theft claims to our office immediately following the loss. You can report a claim online, or call 1-800-800-7071.  
    In the event of theft, be sure to report the incident to the local Police Department and obtain a copy of the police report. If the theft occurred while overseas, please obtain a translation of the report.
